Project Type:
SFCC + NextJS, Multi-site, Contentstack, Dynamic Yield
Client URL:
Callaway Golf is a golf equipment company that manufactures golf clubs, balls, accessories, and performance gear. The company is famous for its Big Bertha line of drivers and boasts Xander Schauffele as one of their sponsored tour pros. They have traditionally been very strong on the technology of golf, hiring Boeing engineers in the 1990s to work out the optimal dimple structure for golf balls.
Objective
The key stakeholder at Callaway had worked with us at Lumens and Y Design on mobile projects. And had seen what we achieved at Duluth. Charged with growth at Callaway, the PWA project was targeting performance overall and also the opportunity to solve critical UX problems in customization of clubs that were hard to resolve in SiteGenesis.
Solution
The Callaway enterprise group had established a requirement for the project to use Vercel/NextJS rather than Composable Storefront and had pre-selected Contentstack as the CMS of choice. The site was built in six months and led to the now familiar engagement improvements and bounce rate reductions. The time required to customize a club reduced from 15 seconds for each customization to less than 1 second.
